WEB USER INTERFACE DESIGNER/DEVELOPER

Description

Looking for a Web User Interface Designer/Developer to fill a one year contract in Columbia, SC.
 
Support web development process by creating screen wireframes, mock ups, non-working prototypes, and front-end code. Ensure that the design and integration of proposed process, system, software, and hardware solutions lead to the development and growth of the business through effective use of technology. Ensuring that department policies, acceptable procedures and standard methodologies are used in all reviews.

Ensure cohesion in the customer area and assist both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems. Gain an understanding of the big picture; direction of the various business units, and facilitate the transfer of this understanding to others in the supported business unit.

Must have solid skills in front-end web coding including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Be able to create solid, user-friendly designs and have a portfolio of work to demonstrate first-hand experience. Familiarity with browser-independent coding techniques is a must. Candidate must be able to translate business requirements into wireframes, screen mock-ups, and prototypes. Ability to elicit requirements, create a design, present it to business units and IS staff, and achieve buy-in from each.
 
This position is with a cutting edge technology leader that is the largest health insurance claims processor in the United States and one of the largest companies in South Carolina.
 

Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to design, document and storyboard business critical functions as they relate to Web. Multi-tasking and problem solving a must.
